Thirteen years after the world went dark the survivors in North America are scattered. Em drives a transport lorry through the darkness where horrific creatures lurk having evolved from common animals, the worst of all being evolved humans. The survivors exist in walled towns where the lights are permanently turned on keeping the darkness at bay.
Snyder effortlessly builds the world and major players in this first issue whilst Daniel turns in the best work of his entire career, it’s simply stunning.
This is as near perfect an opener than you will find. Utterly worthy of a big fat ten!
