100 Word Hit Review
In his new title, The Joker appears briefly, as this first issue largely focuses on Jim Gordon wrestling with his own inner demons and the misery Joker has caused.
Approached by a mysterious blonde called Cressida, Gordon is offered the opportunity of unlimited private resources to track down and kill The Joker. Whether Gordon will become a hitman for hire is left unanswered effectively hooking the reader in for issue two.
Tynion’s script is engaging and March’s art has a dark, gritty feel. Backed up with a Punchline story drawn by Mirka Andolfo, this is a nice all round package.
