ISSUE NOTES - It's one thing to face a threat you understand. It's quite another to encounter an unknown horror. Legends warn us of evil things stalking our world, but they are contradictory and confused, often giving more misguidance than aid. Still a vague warning is better than no warning at all. While only a fool trusts the legendary accounts entirely, only a greater fool faces the Dark completely unprepared.
This is the quandary for heroes who oppose the Dark Races. How much can legendary accounts be trusted? An unheeded warning can be fatal - or worse. But a false one is just as dangerous. The only surety is nothing is sure.
