Terrorists wearing Batman cowls take down a Wayne Industries flight over north west England killing 147 passengers.
Batman travels to London seeking answers from Knight (of Knight & Squire) who was injured trying to stop the terrorists. He encounters a monstrously changed Gentleman Ghost on the Lancashire moors feeding on the terror of the dying, before moving on to London where Knight is hospitalised
Foiling an attempt to kill Knight in hospital by the group calling themselves Equilibrium, Batman discovers they are intent on killing people Batman had previously saved, but to what end?
Great story, great art, great first issue.
