Cerebro notices a huge spike in new mutant activity so the X-Men set off to investigate.
Rom is in Clairton, West Virginia hunting Dire Wraiths and comes across Jacob Marks, a wraith who has been hiding in human form for years.
Turns out Marks spent so long as a human that he fell in love, got married and had a kid. And his human/wraith child is what set Cerebro off.
The X-Men turn up, think Rom’s the baddie and predictably fight.
This was so wordy it was practically a short story - I read it in three sittings!!
