Whilst Ragnar and his band of Vikings are guests of King Ecbert in England, there is news of new Viking raids. Ragnar has begun his conversion to Christianity which puts him at odds with Floki and the relationship is further strained when Ragnar agrees to help Ecbert put a stop the new raiders. Meanwhile back in Kattegat a Sami slave-woman sows chaos and discord and blames the poor harvest on Ivar’s birth.
Scott takes a number of plot lines from the TV show and weaves them into an entertaining mini series which almost certainly reads better having watched the series. Johnson’s art is good and he handles capturing the likeness of the main characters well.
