Strange life forms wash up on a Hawaiian beach prompting a group of scientists to embark the field trip from hell to find the origin of these weird creatures. Their boat gets caught in a freak electrical storm and is shipwrecked on an uncharted island. It's downhill from there… Slowly the group are picked off by predatory species as they head towards a strange black monolithic structure; there’s definite shades of Kong Island, but no giant gorilla here. Captain Greer and his first mate Benga are the stars of the show, and there’s a nice list twist in the ending
