Frontman Ryan of 70’s aspiring rock band Running Red is tired of the Friday 7pm opening slot before the disco DJ turns up. Finding an old silver coin left by his mother and using it as a plectrum Ryan suddenly finds that Running Red are THE band everyone wants to see.
But that’s not the only thing running red, Ryan’s fingers bleed holding the coin and before long he and his bandmates realise the coin has mysterious powers, powers beyond their control.
Zdarksy and Walsh nail this first issue, leaving the reader wondering where the coin turns up next.
