Make no mistake this is Oceans Eleven with super villains. And that is why it’s so great. Johnny Bolt assembles a team to rob retired Mega-Villain, The Bastard, in order to pay off a friend’s gambling debts.
There’s the perfect amount of backstory, team assembly and heist over the four issues, with Millar having the uncanny knack of having the reader rooting for Bolt and team from the outset despite their questionable backgrounds.
Seeing how easily The Boys has translated to screen surely this is a no brainer for one of the networks to pick it up.
Simply genius!
