Dolmayan spends this first issue setting the scene for what is clearly a much bigger storyline. Who are the mysterious faction in Bethany looking to infiltrate Ascenia? Who is the person being interrogated and why has the murder taken place in the first place?
All of these questions are left unanswered inviting the reader back for the second issue and beyond. Along with some nice art by Parker, this is an interesting debut.
