Horror maestro Niles takes Batman out of the confines of Gotham City and into the suburbs where, as a favour to Commissioner Gordon, he assists the local police investigate a series of gruesome murders.
When the prime suspect hangs himself it seems like case closed, but Batman senses something’s off and before long he’s being chased by hundreds of dead people. Are they real or figments of a fevered mind?
Niles delivers an entertaining story which makes Batman question what lies beyond death. The script is enhanced by Hampton’s excellent line work and muted colour palette. Well worth a read.
