Hellstorm - Son of Satan #1-5 by Alexander Irvine & Russ Braun
Egyptian Goddess Isis is attempting to resurrect her husband Osiris but Satan’s not so happy about this as he hates resurrections, so attempts to put a spanner in the works with Hellstorm finding himself slap bang in the middle.
Irvine Alexander writes Hellstorm well and there’s a large dose of dark humour to the story (the talking giant scorpions are great) with Russ Braun’s art matching the script nicely. You are kept guessing as to the true motivations of each side until the final issue when it ultimately falls a little flat. Arthur Suydam provides some stunning covers especially for #2.
