HUNDRED WORD HIT #264 - CAPTAIN AMERICA: SYMBOL OF TRUTH.

Captain America - Symbol of Truth #1 by Tochi Onyebuchi & R.B Silva

Following intel provided by Misty Knight, Cap and Falcon are on the trail of some super soldier serum being transported by armoured train across the southwest.

The intel proves to be false, the pair are ambushed by a group of mercenaries, and the cargo happens to be captured Mexican women and children.

There’s a blossoming romance between Sam and Misty and Crossbones gets a mysterious visitor in the Raft who wants to take down America.

A solid opener. Silva delivers some really nice art, but I can’t help but feel this has echoes of other Cap stories I’ve read before.

Rating 7.5 out of 10
