HUNDRED WORD HIT #251 - THE HUMAN TARGET #6

The Human Target #6 by Tom King & Greg Smallwood

As Chance’s liaison with Ice blooms, his investigation into who would want to kill Luthor inevitably lead him to Ice’s long time friend in the JLI, Fire.  And his intention to see through his investigation and potentially save his own life, sees his relationship with Ice begin to melt (I was dying to get that in!!)

Guy Gardner continues to play the role of the jealous ex-boyfriend, and this leads to a shocking showdown between the trio with a jaw-dropping outcome.

King ends the issue with another cliffhanger.  Smallwood’s art and in particular the pastel effect colours are an absolute joy to behold.  Utterly perfect.
