Ernie agrees and they set off to locate the gold but end up in the middle of a fire fight between US and Viet Cong forces.
Remarkably after surviving that encounter they fall foul of a punji pit-trap. Lying injured, Sobrat lands the bombshell that their wounds might be the least of their worries as the gold is apparently guarded by ancient witches!
