HUNDRED WORD HIT #20 - WE ONLY FIND THEM WHEN THEY ARE DEAD #1

Hundred Word Hit #20

We Only Find Them When They Are Dead  #1 by Al Ewing and Simone Di Meo

In the running for the award for the longest comic book title of 2020, the first issue of  WOFTWTAD sees dead gods floating in space being harvested for their organs and other useable material by scavenger ships employed by pharmaceutical companies.

The art by Di Meo is stunning, coupled with an excellent story which pleasantly reminded of the old Ulysses 31 cartoon!

There was a sense that there’s much bigger things at play and I spent the whole issue wondering why these gods had died and what if some weren’t dead? The ending went some way to answering that question.

Rating 8.5 out of 10.
