But that’s no bad thing as this three-parter expertly chronicles Dracul’s history from child captive of the Ottoman Sultan, to his eventual rebellion and declaration of war. Dracul is portrayed as an honourable character despite his tendencies to commit atrocities both on the field of battle and to prisoners of war. Strukul tells a great story and Mutti’s art, although scratchy at times, is a beauty to behold. Dracul’s eventual fate is inescapable, but we are left guessing as to whether it truly is the end...
