Following the ritual slayings of a number of families Jarl Ulf calls on the services of the wanderer Bjorn to find the killer.
All the evidence points to witchcraft and in particular Revna seeking revenge on Jarl and his people for the slaying of her family as witches. She was spared due to her age but banished from society as a Skogarmaor (outcast).
Except all is not as it would seem and before long Revna has agreed to help Bjorn investigate the killings to clear her name.
There’s shades of Beowulf but with an interesting demonic twist. A great opener!
