HUNDRED WORD HIT #131 - SEVEN SWORDS #2
Seven Swords #2 by Evan Daugherty & Riccardo Latina
The dastardly Count Richelieu is looking to unite the blade and the hilt of Lucifer’s sword Morning-Star, which would bring Lucifer out of his exile in the Abyss.
D’Artagnan begins to recruits a band of new ‘musketeers’ amongst whom are Cyrano de Bergerac and Don Juan. There’s plenty of action as D’Artagnan assembles the group and some hilarious dialogue, especially the scenes with Cyrano de Bergerac. There’s even a fourth wall breaking scene at the end which is fun.
Latina’s art is superb, but a special mention should be made for Valentina Bianconi’s colours which are spectacular. En Garde!
