HUNDRED WORD HIT #110 - BLADE RUNNER ORIGINS #1

Blade Runner Origins #1 by K. Perkins, Mellow Brown, Mike Johnson & Fernando Dagnino

Detective Moreaux of the LAPD is charged with investigating a death of an engineer at the mysterious Tyrell Corporation.   Ilora Stahl at Tyrell does her best to dismiss the death as suicide, but the engineer’s assistant and brother lead Moreaux to believe something’s not quite right.

Dagnino’s art has an atmospheric quality that adds a real cinematic feel to the pages.  Equally the script gives more than enough hints that Moreaux himself may be a replicant and fans of the films will not be disappointed.

This opener expertly ends on a cliffhanger hooking the reader back in for issue two.

Rating 8 out of 10
