HUNDRED WORD HIT #106 - ALIEN #3

Alien #3 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson & Salvador Larocca

It’s an all action issue as Cruz’s team fight off alien attacks, find survivors, fall foul of the typical Corporate double-cross, avoid chest bursters and a familiar face turns up at the climax.

All that and Johnson’s script still offers more in terms of flashbacks and also the mysterious ‘One In The Dark’ a kind of ultra Queen human-alien hybrid.  Larocca’s art is great, he draws a mean alien and he manages to bring a cinematic quality to the pages.

I said it last time round, fans of the films should really be reading this book, it’s immense!

Rating 8.5 out of 10.
