Comic’s superstar team of Johns & Frank combine again, this time at Image, with Geiger. A post-apocalyptic, Mad-Max style tale of the aforementioned Geiger, or Glowing Man as he’s now known as it’s central protagonist.
The first issue is largely spent scene setting, a little action, some great art and a brilliant take on previewing future issues using a map of Las Vegas and the locations of the various overlords. There’s a nod to The Watchmen with the Junkyard Joe strip on the back cover and whilst as a package this doesn’t feel like anything new, it’s bloody great!
